But where does that leave IDD?
As I've found myself only capable of one huge animation project at a time, I'll be pushing IDD further back, sadly. I'm still disappointed in myself over this and I've resolved to not only finish the piece, but do it better than I would have otherwise. I've learned since then, and I now have a new method in mind: I will only ask for voicework after a piece is 90% done and not a moment before, and I certainly won't write 10 minute epics that I'd planned IDD to be.
With this in mind, a new ending might entail more recordings from the VAs (if they'll still participate; I don't blame them if my failure to deliver my promises have destroyed their faith in me) but ONLY after I've finished the animation with a fresh, possibly shorter ending. I've completed a good deal for what it's worth, but uploading only the finished parts would cast an incoherency on a piece they worked really hard to help me with. I endlessly thank all of them, and you who still remember that I have the damned thing in the works. When the day comes, I hope I won't disappoint.
Until then, five week rounds will hopefully contribute to an ability to produce something worthwhile between my thesis crunching, which is the difference between submitting comics or nothing at all until the end of April. For all those disappointed in me, again, I'm sorry and I've learned, but I hope the experience has helped me grow in a way where I'll be able to streamline myself into a drawing/writing/animatin' machine.
Thanks for all that have stuck with me; your encouragement gives me such joy and inspiration.
