This will be helpful for me, since hopefully I'll be able to start working on my own Flash stuffs too. Gotta practice synching mouth movements with the voice, though. But still, thanks for the tips!

i've done some recordin stuff b4(though i hate hearin my voice) and had to deal with that extra pop of air when doin certain consonant sounds realizin id probably need a pop filter similar to your coat hanger one
i'll try to keep these tips in mind

Those special Sound killing noises are called...

PLOSIVES!

A good way to deal with plosives... (if you happen to be fresh out of Pantyhoes...) is to talk... ACROSS the Mic. Also, a mic that's not built in would be best for it, because they have better quality, and you don't get handling noise as much.

Also, I NEVER KNEW YOU HATED MP3! I'm sorry. I'll send you .WAV from now on.

I'm faving this, even though I've never voice acted because I want to someday and I probably will when I start animating myself.

I didn't know most computers had recording software! THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!

Just so you know. Audacity can be run on macs too, my multimedia design team used to have it on their sound room computers. Most of these things I would of thought would be common sense... except maybe the panty wires and I do prefer a real yell to a fake one. x3

.wav are ALWAYS lower quality and MUCH BIGGER than .mp3s. Especially if using a whole 5 seconds extra. in the recording world, 5 seconds is a whole lot of horsecrap. If someone turned in ANYTHING that had a 5 second delay I WOULD TELL THEM TO EDIT THEIR CLIPS- I AM NOT WAITING HERE TO DOWNLOAD STATIC AND DEAD AIR LONGER THAN THE LINE. ...2 seconds is good enough!

I even have programs (LIKE AUDACITY) that lag when I use .wav files. Most people do not accept .aiff (whats that?) and as for .wma... well, I can't even begin to tell you all the problems I have with that!

who has a computer that uses .mp4? o_0;

By the way, I'm a proud member of the VAC run by Kira Buckland. Her site rules and general population would support these thoughts

Also: If I give you a line for an ANIMATION, do not mess with it unless you ALSO record what I wrote. That's just rude. Another one: find your own damn references. If you know its a fandub, BE YOUR OWN ADVOCATE AND SEARCH OUT THE EPISODE ON YOUR OWN TIME.

It's such a pain to be asked to SEND people links to youtube when I lay out EXACTLY what I'm doing. ((AKA type in Tales of Symphonia the animation episode 1 part 1 and you will find.. only that and nothing more!))
